PEKA – STYLISH STORAGE SOLUTIONS

A crucial part of a functioning kitchen is ample storage, not only for the nitty gritty items but also the large-scale necessities. If a kitchen is able to accommodate everything you need and desire, then you’ve officially got the culinary family nucleus you’ve always dreamt of!

To further make those dreams a reality, we are proud to announce that we’ve started 2019 in fine fashion by striking a partnership with Swiss storage specialists – Peka. With the incredible combination of creativity and imaginative ideas, we will be able to offer some of the most stylish storage solutions available on the market.

ONLINE TRENDS

Places like Etsy and Pinterest are examples of online catalysts for home décor inspiration and according to Pinterest’s ‘Back to Life’ 2018 report, more than 14 million searches related to home organisation. What’s even more interesting is that 2.2 million of these searches were targeted specifically to kitchens.

So why are people so insistent on getting the most out of the space in their cooking area? It’s because the way we use our kitchen is everchanging. In the not so distant future and in some instances, already, we are able to channel our appliances through the likes of Alexa and Google Home Assistant.

But while we allow technology to integrate itself within our homes, let’s take a look at some of the simple and more traditional products that Peka have developed and how you can utilise every inch of space that’s available to you.

LARDERS

Starting with the pull-out larder, this five-shelf storage solution is perfect for hiding away all of your jars and tins away from your kitchen worktops. The solid steel base prevents items from falling out/over, while their sleek design ensures that every inch of space is well utilised.

Compare this with the pantry larder (below left), which offers similar ease of use without the pull-out function. It’s similar to opening a wardrobe door, with the same amount of storage space available. Five spacious trays with non-slip mats integrated, meaning your tableware has never been so safe!

CORNER STORAGE

For those requiring the shelves to extend out of the cupboards completely, there is the sliding corner pull-out option (above right). With the least amount of effect, the shelves glide out easily and smoothly into the open. Each shelf can be moved independently to allow even easier access to the lower shelf.

Never again view your corners as out-of-bounds areas with the Peka corner solutions. The Magic corner pull-out shelves automatically slide to the front of the cabinet when the door is opened, providing easy access to necessities (like pots and pans) with ease.

ALTERNATE SIZING

If you’ve always wanted a set of pull-out storage drawers but your kitchen is a bit tight for space, a couple of Peka 150’s ought to make your dreams come true. Although slightly slimmer than the 300 pull-out, you’re still able to store items such as wines and other room temperature liquids.
